Automatic Trip Anchor
Anchors differ in styles and sizes.
Most designs have their strengths and weaknesses.
Some good in sand, some good in rocks.
However they all suffer from retrieval issues and in some cases not being able to be retrieved at all.
The common way round this problem is to use a trip line which consists of a smaller second line being attached to the rear of the anchor with a buoy on the other end.
This does work of a fashion but is awkward to deploy, gets tangled easily on and off the boat and can also tangle with other boaters propellers.
We have a design which eliminates the need for a second line (trip line).
This anchor if stuck changes the anchor pivot from the front to the rear of the anchor enabling easy retrieval.
